EXPECTATIONS AND PREPARATIONS

The Institute of Nail Technology is proud to offer you a professional mentoring program designed for your successful entry into the beauty industry as a Professional Nail Technician.

INT 100 is a full service nail technician beginner program, which will provide you with all the fundamental skills necessary to become an accomplished Nail Technician including gel nails and gel nail fills, acrylic nails and acrylic nail fills and pedique (gel toes). Your Pedique class includes color gel application and an introduction to art! This program is conducted in a small class environment and comes equipped with a very generous product kit and a deluxe travel case. INT 100 is a thirty-four hour program completed over a twelve week period. This period of twelve weeks is broken down into two focus areas:

Focus 1

Skill Development:

  • 34 hours hands on training
  • 6 classes, including exam day
  • 5 - 6 week time frame


This portion of your INT 100 program is the foundation to your development as a Professional Nail Technician. You will spend the entire 34 hours with your INT Educator. Each class will cover a series of skills, individual scenarios, and troubleshooting opportunities. Securing dependable models and working within the time frame outlined is in your best interest to gain the very most from your commitment to INT 100.

Focus 2

Home Study Program:

  • A minimum of five new nail sets
  • A minimum of five nail fills
  • A minimum of 3 Pediques
  • Study and review work with INT manual in preparation for exam
  • 3 1/2 hr written and practical exam


This portion of INT 100 relies heavily on your self-motivation to develop your skills to a degree that will enable you to successfully service a clientele as a Professional Nail Technician.

For INT to ensure that this happens, we will require a short report on each of the services required in the Home Study portion of INT 100 (a form will be provided). These reports must be returned to your INT Educator prior to, or on your exam date.
