EXPECTATIONS AND PREPARATIONS
The Institute of Nail Technology is proud to offer you a professional mentoring program designed for your successful entry into the beauty industry as a professional Nail Technician.
INT 101 is a beginner program, which will provide you with the fundamental skills necessary to become an accomplished Gel and Acrylic Nail Technician. This program is conducted in a small classroom setting including your essential start up kit. INT 101 Complete is 30 hours of training completed over a ten week period. This period of ten weeks is broken down into two focus areas:
Focus 1
6 Week Skill Development Program:
- 30 hours hands on training
- 5 classes, including exam day
- 6 week time frame
This portion of your INT 101 program is the foundation to your development as a Professional Nail Technician. You will spend the entire time with your INT Educator covering a series of skills including gel nails and gel nail fills along with acrylic nails and acrylic fills. Securing dependable models and working within the time frame outlined is in your best interest to gain the very most from your commitment to INT 101 Complete.
Focus 2
4 Week Home Study Program:
- A minimum of five new nail sets
- A minimum of five nail fills
- Study and review work with INT manual ( in preparation for exam)
- Three hour written and practical exam
This portion of the INT 101 program relies heavily on your self-motivation to develop your skills to a degree that will enable you to successfully service a clientele as a Professional Nail Technician.
For INT to ensure that this happens, we will require a short report on each of the services required in the Home Study portion of INT 101 (a form will be provided). These reports must be returned to your INT Educator prior to, or on your exam date. |
